The city’s Vida and Manzil hotels have also been rebranded to Marriott properties…

Dubai’s hotel scene is getting a shake-up: three Emaar Hospitality hotels have been rebranded to Marriott properties.

Effective from January 1, 2024, the former Address Dubai Marina is now the JW Marriott Hotel Marina, marking Dubai’s second JW Marriott property alongside the iconic JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. A duo of Downtown hotels have also made the switch from Emaar hospitality to Marriott, with the Vida Downtown now known as Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection; and Manzil Downtown rebranded as The Heritage Hotel, Autograph Collection.

These three hotel rebrands were announced soon after the confirmation that two Address Hotels – Address Dubai Mall and Address Boulevard – would also be leaving Emaar Hospitality to become Kempinski properties. Also effective from January 1, Address Dubai Mall is now Kempinski Central Avenue Dubai; while Address Boulevard has become the Kempinski The Boulevard Dubai.

All five hotels are owned by Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), who acquired them from Emaar in a deal that was completed in 2019. Since then, Emaar Hospitality has continued to operate the hotels – until now.

What does the rebrand mean exactly?

Well, according to ADNH and reported by Business Traveller Middle East, “each property will undergo carefully planned enhancements to deliver tailored and world-class experiences.” So, we can expect new offerings across all the hotels in terms of culinary, spa and leisure.
