As the world’s best-selling board game ever, chances are, you’ve played Monopoly… and no doubt had many a family argument along the way. Hunched over the board, red hotels strewn across the floor, and the fake money so disorganised you’re convinced your younger brother has made a play for the 500 notes.

Well now you can play it for real. Sort of. Unfortunately you won’t be able to buy a hotel on Mayfair, or own four of the most iconic train stations in London, yet you will be able to stand proud on your ‘property’ thanks to the installation of a giant version of the game at Mall Of The Emirates, Mirdif City Centre and Deira City Centre.

Running until June 26, the larger than life Monopoly board is being presented with an Arabic twist, complete with some of the UAE and Majid Al Futtaim’s most iconic attractions and destinations. Players can throw giant dice, draw life sized chance cards or stay behind bars in a real life 3D jail, all in the name of fun… and winning prizes.

In order to get involved, all shoppers have to do is simply spend Dhs300 at any store in the respective malls and pass by the registration desk to exchange your receipt for a pass to play. Operation hours are midday to 10pm weekdays and midday to midnight on weekends.
