Heading to the cinema to watch the latest flicks? Consider something different and head to the rooftop of the Galleria Mall and catch a movie under the stars. It’s possibly the best time of the year to do it thanks to the cool weather. Tuck into a business lunch at Sfumato

Book your seats to see Handel’s Messiah at Dubai Opera
On December 13, Dubai Opera will echo with the tunes of Messiah, the crowning achievement of the renowned composer George Frideric Handel. It was written and composed all the way back in 1741 but its popularity only grew stronger as time passed. The tune is typically not a Christmas one, as it was written for Easter but as the 19th century rolled on, it became extremely popular during the festive season. On December 13, it will be performed by Astana Opera Orchestra and The Festival Chorus, and conducted by Abzal Mukhitdin. Get your tickets here.

Catch a laser show at Riverland Dubai
Let your festive season come to light with an all-new dazzling colourful light show at Riverland Dubai. The rays of laser show have been choreographed to festive themed music which will put you in a jolly good mood. The show runs from Wednesday to Sunday with three shows at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm. You can also visit Santa’s Grotto and meet the man in red himself at Viva Ristorante Restaurant. While you’re there, at 9pm there’s a festive parade the whole family will love.

Get into the festive mood at the winter market at Jumeirah Emirates Towers
