Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah has reopened its doors

The resort has been closed for six months…

Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah has reopened its doors just in time for the grand record-breaking firework display on New Year’s Eve. The popular resort closed its doors in July 2023 for renovations.

The Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah now boasts 203 rooms which include 149 guest rooms and 54 suites with mesmerising views. The rooms showcase notes of greens and blues inspired by the waters of the Arabian Gulf and will offer experiences and elevated personalized service.

For the little ones checking in, there is a special junior check-in counter. For a spot of fun at the hotel, there is a dedicated children’s club with a varied, fun-filled program. There’s also a new unique concierge program for the little ones where children can step into the world of hospitality for a day and learn new skills.

The food corner…

The resort’s dining venues, lounges and bars have also undergone a makeover. This includes the signature Japanese restaurant UMI restaurant known for its authentic sushi, entertaining Teppanyaki demonstrations, and the UAE’s largest sake collection. American-style steak house Lexington Grill & Bar (pictured above) has also been given a makeover, and foodies have got to check it out for its dry-aged tender steak, wines and creative cocktails.

Sunset Beach Lounge has also been revamped where guests can enjoy their evenings with tunes from a vibrant DJ and breathtaking sunsets.

There’s a new concept that has been introduced – Sijar Lounge. It’s not just a new concept to the resort, but to Ras Al Khaimah, too.

For those looking to relax, the spa and wellness centre is also open so if you’re planning a staycation, look into getting in some pamper time.

The resort’s golden masterpiece, the legendary six-meter Waldorf Astoria clock in the heart of the lobby has even undergone a makeover. The clock showcases a pearlized domed glass dial with a captivating aquamarine centre, complemented by a gold-plated Whitehurst 7-day mechanical movement. The clock pays homage to Arabic roots and features rotating prayer rings for precise prayer times. It bears an inscription from ancient Bedouin songs for added historical significance.
