Along with the video, Dubai Police stated, ‘Ensuring #RoadSafety for all road users is a top priority for Dubai Police. To uphold this commitment, 13 inspection checkpoints have been set up across the emirate to verify vehicle safety and ensure vehicles do not have modifications that could cause noise or compromise the safety and comfort of road users.’
The video shows Dubai Police doing a vehicle safety check and impounding a vehicle that violated the traffic law. The check is not just limited to cars, but motorcycles, too.
Last week, the Dubai Police also shared an announcement stating that it had seized 23 vehicles and three motorbikes in Al Khawaneej for noise disturbance. The drivers had made illegal modifications, causing loud noises and disturbances in the Al Khawaneej area.

According to Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, the seizures were part of the traffic awareness campaigns launched under the slogan “A Safe Road for Everyone.”
He added that 24 traffic fines were issued against the violators, and the fine for releasing an impounded vehicle can reach up to Dhs10,000.
Al Mazrouei further warned against ‘equipping vehicles with technologies that increase engine speed, causing noise, disturbance, and danger to residents in residential areas’. He cautioned drivers against reckless and careless driving that could endanger their own lives, the lives of others, or public safety or cause damage to the roads.
You can report negative behaviour through the “Police Eye” or “We Are All Police” services available on the Dubai Police smart app or by calling 901.
