Abu Dhabi gets its own chocolate and it’s pure gold
Indulge in Abu Dhabi Chocolate, a golden creation by Chef Nouel that captures the capital’s warmth and heritage
The man behind Dubai Chocolate has created something new for the capital. Chef Nouel Catis has introduced Abu Dhabi Chocolate under his brand Snaap. The collaboration is with Rain Café, a homegrown Emirati favourite.
The bar blends salted caramel with halwa and layers of flavour that capture the essence of Abu Dhabi. On his Instagram page Chef Nouel describes the flavour profile as an ode to the capital. This includes saffron and cardamom bring warmth and spice. Then the tahini and date syrup adds smooth sweetness. The light crunch gives it texture and nostalgia. To finish, delicate 24k gold flakes catch the light on top.
Chef Nouel says Abu Dhabi Chocolate is his way of honouring a city he calls home. “Each ingredient was chosen to reflect the hospitality, warmth and cultural richness that define Abu Dhabi,” he said. The flavours tell a story of the capital’s character, calm yet confident and deeply rooted in tradition.

His partnership with Rain Café feels natural. This is because the Emirati brand is known for transforming local flavours into modern creations, and this collaboration is a continuation of this tradition.
Each bite carries the quiet luxury of Abu Dhabi. It’s fragrant, thoughtful and balanced, with sweetness that lingers and spice that reminds you where it comes from.
Abu Dhabi Chocolate is available exclusively at Rain Café and online at rain.ae.
