Check your phone: Does it say ‘Proud of UAE’? Here’s why
The Proud of UAE campaign has resonated deeply across the UAE
If you looked at your phone on April 11, 2026, you would have noticed something different. Your phone’s signal bar has changed to ‘Proud of UAE’.
It’s a part of the nationwide campaign that was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, where he called on all residents to raise the UAE flag, expressing his pride in the country and its people.
ندعو أبناء الإمارات… pic.twitter.com/OTptAu5lVp

In the post on X, the ruler of Dubai added, “The flag of the UAE is a symbol of strength and pride. We call upon the sons of the UAE and its residents on its blessed land to raise it above homes, institutions, and buildings.”
He added, “Proud of our country. Proud of our country’s president. Proud of our armed forces. Proud of the strength of our economy. Proud of our teamwork. Proud of all our citizens and residents on our land. Proud of our flag.”
He stressed that we should ‘raise the flag high above every home and building as a sign of our love and a symbol of our loyalty to our country’s president and the banner of our unity and solidarity.”
Sheikh Mohammed ended the post, “May God protect the UAE and its people, and may He perpetuate its banner in glory and honour,” followed by #ProudoftheEmirates
