If you’re flying from the UAE in the coming days, it’s worth checking your flight before leaving home. Several airlines have cancelled or adjusted services between the UAE and Kuwait and Bahrain, with airlines urging passengers to check the latest UAE flight updates before travelling.

Here’s what you need to know before you travel.

Which airlines are affected?

Several flights operated by Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai and Air Arabia have been cancelled or disrupted on routes between Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and destinations in Kuwait and Bahrain. If you’re travelling on one of these routes, it’s best to check directly with your airline for the latest updates before making your way to the airport.

Emirates flights

Emirates has cancelled a number of services between Dubai and Kuwait, as well as Dubai and Bahrain.

For Wednesday July 23, additional Bahrain services affected include:

  • Dubai to Bahrain: EK833, EK835, EK837, EK839
  • Bahrain to Dubai: EK834, EK836, EK838, EK840

Passengers are encouraged to use online check-in, baggage drop facilities and Emirates’ digital services where possible.

Flights between Dubai and Kuwait remain scheduled, although passengers are advised to check the latest flight information before travelling.

Air Arabia

Air Arabia has reported cancellations and delays across a number of Kuwait and Bahrain routes from Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Affected services include:

  • Abu Dhabi–Kuwait
  • Sharjah–Kuwait
  • Sharjah–Bahrain
  • Abu Dhabi–Bahrain

Passengers travelling with Air Arabia should check their flight status before travelling to the airport, as some services have been cancelled while others remain pending departure.

Before you head to the airport

With summer travel in full swing, airlines are reminding passengers to plan ahead.

Travellers are advised to:

  • Check their flight status before leaving for the airport
  • Arrive at least three hours before departure
  • Be at the boarding gate at least 60 minutes before take-off
  • Allow extra time for traffic, security and immigration
  • Use online check-in and baggage drop services where available

Passengers travelling through Dubai International Airport can also take the Dubai Metro directly to Emirates Terminal 3.

  • Friday: 5am to 1am
  • Sunday: 8am to midnight
