The Dubai and Abu Dhabi Police are a touch more flash than your average city police.

Nowhere else in the world will you find a Lykan Hypersport or Bugatti Veyron as part of your local law enforcement’s line-up, or see a racing drone whizz side-by-side a Dubai Police McLaren through the city streets. It does make one thing for sure though – we’d never like to find ourselves on the wrong end of a car chase. Or a stand-off for that matter… their Special Forces look gnarly, and there’s a Dubai Police tank.

So as a tribute to the boys and girls in green keeping our cities safe, here are 7 of our favourite videos from the Dubai and Abu Dhabi Police.

1. Showing off the luxurious super patrol cars.

There’s no denying that the Dubai Police are packing some serious horsepower, this video just confirms it.

2. The Dubai Police introduce a tank to their fleet.

Because strapping a cannon to a McLaren would’ve been silly.

3. The Dubai Police show off their new Bugatti Veyron.

No police force would be complete without one of the world’s fastest, most expensive cars.

4. A racing drone battles one of the Dubai Police’s McLarens.

Pfft. Who needs cars anymore? Just strap a taser and a pair of handcuffs to a drone…

5. The Abu Dhabi Police introduce the Dhs12,485,000 Lykan Hypersport to their fleet.

This is the car they jump from a building in in Fast and Furious 7.

6. The Abu Dhabi Police showing us how it’s all done with their ‘Safe City UAE’  video.

7. A little bit longer, but this documentary flaunts how rad the women officers in the Dubai Police are.

8. The Dubai Police tackle the fire that broke out at The Address Hotel Downtown on New Year’s.

On New Year’s Eve when one of Downtown’s most iconic hotels caught on fire. However the quick acting of the Dubai Police and Fire Department managed to quell the fire quickly and in a controlled manner.

9. The Dubai Police Special Forces unit show off their skills in a practice drill.

Fortunately, we live in a country where special forces are rarely needed. Doesn’t mean they’re not ready for action though…

10. The Dubai Police parade around a Lamborghini Aventador for a photoshoot.

Looks pretty… but careful, it bites.
