It’s never too early to dig out your Lederhosen…

If you can’t make it to the annual Oktoberfest festivities in Munich this year, fear not, as Dubai’s Grand Hyatt is bringing Oktoberfest to you.

Kicking off on Wednesday October 10, the 17 day long celebration of the world’s biggest beer and folk festival will see the Grand Hyatt transformed into a pretzel-eating paradise.

Guests are encouraged to dig out their finest Lederhosen or Dirndl for a lively afternoon of traditional German eats, live music and top craft beers.

On launch night on Wednesday October 10, a buffet brunch inclusive of barbecue dishes and soft beverages is priced at Dhs199 per person and on offer from 7pm until 1am. Alcoholic drinks will be charged separately.

Heading into the weekend, the Oktoberfest tent will be open from 7pm to 2am serving an a la carte menu of traditional German and Austrian dishes, as well as craft beers from around the world. There’s a deposit of Dhs1000 for tables on Thursdays and Fridays, which is redeemable on food and drink.

On Saturdays, a weekly brunch buffet will run from 12.30pm to 4pm. It’s priced at Dhs249 per person for the soft package, or Dhs349 including beers and house wines. It’s the only time you can bring children along, so a great option for a more family-friendly day out.

The tent will be closed on Saturday evening, Sundays and Mondays.

Keeping it authentic, guests will be served by waiters in traditional Lederhosen, and the Grand Hyatt is even flying in the “Die Kirchdorfer” band from Munich to perform throughout the festivities.
