New dish: Bistrot Bagatelle

Bistrot Bagatelle’s culinary mastermind Timothy Newton has introduced a brand new dish to the fine-dining French restaurant’s ever-evolving menu, and we’re already eyeing it up. The pan-seared Tenderloin (Dhs280) is cooked pink in the centre and paired with bone marrow, charred onion puree, and topped with a borderlaise sauce.

Brand new brunch: PizzaExpress Live

Fans of Jazz PizzaExpress’ lively Friday brunch, we’ve got good news for you: the Downtown sister, PizzaExpress Live are launching their own (slightly more upscale) version this week. The four-hour package is priced at Dhs299 and includes sharing starters, an array of main courses on top of the usual pizza and pasta (the short ribs have got our attention) and dessert. It’s served up alongside a DJ, live music and magician.
