Emirates is advising passengers to get to the airport three hours early for flights….

Over 309,000 passengers are expected to travel from Dubai with Emirates this weekend as UAE residents head off for their extended Eid break.

The busiest day will be on Friday May 31 when 80,000 people are expected to descend on Terminal 3 for their flights.

So, with this in mind Emirates has urged passengers to reach the airport at least three hours before their flight departs due to the increased number of people.

There’s also expected to be a lot of traffic congestion around Terminal 3, along with road works around main airport highways and roads causing further potential delays.

Peak travel is expected to continue until Monday June 3.

To speed things up, it’s always best to check in online, which you can do as early as 48 hours prior to your flight. You can physically check in at the airport as early as 24 hours before flying.

Emirates has warned that those who check in less than 60 minutes before their scheduled flight time won’t be accepted for travel.

So get yourself there early to avoid pre-holiday stress.
