Marvel at some cool creations as Dubai Design Week returns

Dubai Design Week is back for its eighth season at Dubai Design District. The six-day event which takes place from November 8 to 13 will welcome visitors with a number of installations, exhibitions and experiential mediums. Read more about the Dubai Design Week here.

Celebrate a special Thai festival at a pretty Creekside restaurant

This Tuesday, The Thai Kitchen at Park Hyatt Dubai invites diners to celebrate Loy Krathong, the traditional festival of lights, with a specially curated sharing menu. Agaisnt the backdrop of the last full moon of the year, there will be a traditional ceremony at 6.30pm, which will see the release of floating baskets followed by welcome drinks and canapes at The Lounge terrace with live music and cultural dances. After the ceremony, guests can dine on a family-style sharing menu that will include Thai Kitchen signature dishes for Dhs285, which can be upgraded to include three cocktails for an additional Dhs175. The menu will be available until November 15.

Wednesday November 9

Shake up your week with a mixology class

Couqley French Bistro & Baris launching a new mixology class this Wednesday. Running from 4pm to 6pm in their cosy home in JLT, under the guidance of an expert mixologist, you’ll learn how to make three signature gin cocktails – and get to try your creations afterwards too. For an all-inclusive price of Dhs149, participants will also receive three signature canapes that are perfectly paired with the beverages.

Get involved with Dubai Fitness Challenge with a free fitness class

Throughout November, NRG the community gym in Dubai Marina, is offering free HIIT classes every Wednesday at 7am. Squats, burpees, sit ups and more, are part of this high intensity 45 minute workout, which is open to both members and non-members and takes place outside along the picturesque Marina Walk.

Listen to the sounds of a legendary Italian band at a gorgeous new lounge

For the winter season, pretty Italian-inspired alfresco restaurant Piatti by the Beach welomes a special residency from Gianluigi Lembo and the Anema e Core band. The group, who entertained A-listers including JLo and Beyonce over the summer at their home in Capri, will bring la Dolce Vita to Piatti from 10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and upstairs Kalian Lounge from 6pm on Wednesday and Sunday until December 11.

Get your sweat on at a fun fitness class

The beautiful Drift beach partners with Raise Fitness for its first energy-pumping Boot Camp this Thursday November 10. The monthly class costs Dhs195 and promises a full-body workout by the beach from 8am to 9am, followed by a nutritious gourmet breakfast between 9am and 10am, which is included in the price. Warm up for the weekend with a dazzling dinner and a show

Alessandro Ristori is a larger than life, musical legend, and he’s returning to the stage at The Theater this week.
