You’ll find it at Fort Island…

Missed a visit to Not A Space in Al Faya, Sharjah? Well, lucky for residents in Dubai, Not a Space has set up Not a Majlis at the picturesque Madinat Jumeirah.

Now of course your experience won’t include the sandy dunes of Al Faya, but you will get to enjoy the gorgeous Arabian citadel-inspired city views. You’ll find it at Fort Island where it’s easy to spot standing out with red lights and white tents. You can’t miss it.

The pop-up will be around only until the end of Ramadan, so make sure you schedule in time to go see it with friends and family.

Here’s what you’ll find inside.

Not a Space is known for its great coffee and you wouldn’t want to leave without trying a cup of joe. There are the usual suspects such as latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate and more. There’s also a variety of food from burgers to chicken strips, fries, nachos, and even pasta.

Next to the food and drink counter, you’ll find a makeshift stage where there will be Ramadan-inspired entertainment from singers to Oud players and more.

You can sip on your coffee or enjoy your nibbles and sway to the music, or you can get competitive with loved ones and play a couple of games. On one side of the space, you will find the digital gaming area with a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and much more.

On the other end, you will find a cabin where you can choose from games like UNO cards, Snakes and Ladders, carrom boards and more. Do note, the games are all free to use, but you will need to show the lovely Not a Space team your Emirates ID – so don’t leave it in the car.

And last but not the least, the space will be home to a number of vendors selling children’s toys, clothing, accessories, jewellery and much more.

Another highlight of your evening, and one you will need to get to on time to not miss it, is the Ramadan cannon. As soon as the sun sets, Dubai Police will fire a blank cartridge in the air to signify that it’s time to break your fast. It’s a must-see experience, but also quite loud, so take our advice and plug your ears.

Not a Space has added its beautiful touches to the pop-up in a unique way. From the cute messages when you order food or a meal, to the possibly nerve-wracking but heartwarming ‘task’ they assign you at the entrance which is perfectly in sync with the Holy Month of Ramadan.
