People of Dubai – are we really surprised?

A recent study by InsureMyTrip has revealed Dubai as the safest city in the world for females to solo travel to in 2025. Dubai ranked number one on the list, pushing Krakow and Madrid into second and third place, as the best city for female solo travel, with an overall, impressive score of 7.71 out of a 10, which is the perfect score.

The study was conducted across 62 cities and was based on factors on several factors in categories of female safety and tourism such as safety, gender equality, walkability at night, and overall tourism appeal.

Solo travelling can be a daunting experience, especially for females, as concerns for safety and security are a top priority. Of course, the residents will be able to vouch for this – Dubai is a great place for women to not only travel to, but also live in, given the aspects of a very low crime rate, safety, connectivity with special provisions made for women such as women-only cabins public transport and a welcoming, multi-cultural community that speaks several languages and is always willing to help.

In terms of moving around, the city offers a host of options on different price points – if you’re travelling on a budget, you can plan your trip with the Metro and the RTA Bus network, the most economical way of moving around Dubai. You can also download the ride-hailing apps and move around in taxis.

Earlier this year, Dubai and the UAE have made appearances in several of these lists, including the UAE being named the second safest country in the world for 2025, and all five major airliners being ranked in the world’s safest top 20 airlines.
