From 2018, the popular discount voucher book will be digital-only…

There aren’t many people living in Dubai who like to dine out that haven’t have heard of The Entertainer: but here’s a heads up to those who still favour the booklet over the app, as as of next year The Entertainer will no longer be printed as a booklet.

From 2018, the popular discount voucher book will be available only as a digital platform, purchased through the app store. (But remember, What’s On do a monthly Voucher Issue from time to time, so if you prefer printed vouchers, keep an eye out for our next discount edition).

It’s the first time in 16 years that the book will not be printed after it was founded in 2001. Since then, it has expanded across the Middle East, Europe, Africa and wider Asia, with editions launching in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Athens and Cape Town.

The platform offers a collection of buy-one-get-one-free offers across restaurants, bars, fitness classes and beauty salons.

There’s a new feature to the app, however: Entertainer Getaways. The in-app booking service will allow users to redeem special rates on over half a million hotels in more than 200 countries.

The 2018 edition will be available to purchase from October 25, and will come with a Dhs100 discount until November 30 when purchased through the app.
