What makes them different? When it comes to speed, Dream Girls came up trumps with the fastest turnaround of them all. This is the go-to tailor for last minute alterations and dress dilemmas, with a hard working team who focus on getting the job done pronto.
The result: Dream Girls placed a lining inside the wrap dress, which gave it more depth than its competitors and meant the dress was safe from any see- through faux pas. The garment was well stitched with the tailor following the instructions exactly.

800 TAILOR

What makes them different? 800 Tailor prides themselves on making your experience as fuss-free as possible. From the initial measurements to the final fitting, they work in and around your schedule, a major bonus for those who don’t have the luxury to take time out of their day.
The result: The fabric chosen by the staff to recreate the dress had a stretch to it, meaning the dress not only fitted, but washed well. Overall, this was a stress-free experience and they have found a great niche in the market.

DEEPA’S

What makes them different? Deepa’s was originally started in 1977 as a textile trading company and their staff really know their stuff when it comes to working with particular fabrics.
The result: Deepa’s opted to create a wrap dress with the wrap actually stitched, which stopped the bust area from moving. The stitching was incredibly precise and neat, with Deepa’s proving they are not only good value for money, but the right choice if you are after a tailor who is confident in their trade.

What makes them different? Threads and Tailors really made the experience more personal by keeping us up to date through sketches and snapshots.
The result: Threads and Tailors may have been one of the pricier establishments, but it was well worth it with a dress produced that was nothing short of perfect. Fully lined and made in a soft wool, it hung perfectly thanks to the discreet pleating at the waist and darts in the back. This is a dress that is made to last thanks to top craftsmanship. We’ll be back.

MADE 2 MEASURE

What makes them different? If you are after a more luxurious experience then Made 2 Measure is your spot. The villa has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are meticulous when it comes to measuring you up. They specialise in trickier pieces, so are useful for those who are open to creative suggestions.
The result: Made 2 Measure paid attention to the finishing touches such as ruching on the waist and a concealed side zip. The only drawback was the silky fabric, which made it difficult to keep the dress in place.
