Rock city: JD's Battle of the Bands is back

Barasti is where it’s at this year…

This may just be the most exciting homegrown musical event of the year. JD’s Battle of the Bands is back for another installment of rock and roll talent from here in the UAE and this year, it’s taking iconic party venue Barasti by storm.

Here is where the best bands from across the country go head to head in a fight for not just an epic prize but also stage glory and appreciation. This year, the prize for the winner of the competition is an all-expenses-paid trip to the US of A. This is the grand prize for whoever comes out on top.

While in America, the winning band will be visiting the legendary Jack Daniel’s distillery in Tennessee, as well as enjoy some studio recording time in Nashville – the home of music.

The complete competition consists of five rounds, starting from Thursday, August 15, and lasting five weeks for a showdown of epic proportions. Each heat will take place at 8pm on a Thursday in every week, starting in mid-August and moving into middle-September.

Both Battle of the Bands and Barasti are institutions of their own and this is a coming together that is sure to bring the house down. Battle of the Bands is well into many years of giving the best solo and group musical talent across the country a platform.

This is your chance to come out and support you favourite artists, cheering them all the way to victory, the airport and then on a plane to America. Mark your calendars and head over to the multi award-winning beach bar.
