Here are 8 fun things to do in Dubai this week
Monday, November 11
Support female artists
Wonder why you can’t name as many female artists as you can male artists? They do tend to get a lot more focus even in today’s time, much like the male artists from centuries gone by. But galleries are now trying to change this. And if you want to support the hard working female creators who deserve the same amount of time in the spotlight, check out this new exhibition at The Foundry. Fictional Landscapes is an exhibition showcasing the works of 28 women artists from five galleries spanning the globe. The exhibition explores the power themes of space and place from a women’s perspective who have converted their feelings and thoughts into contemporary works of art. The exhibition runs until December 15, so the next time you’re in Downtown Dubai, slot in some time to go see it. Read more here.

Taste of India
Want to enjoy the very many flavours of India? Every Monday at Address Sky View, you can feast on traditional Indian dishes from Punjabi samosa to succulent prawn Amritsari before indulging in aromatic biryanis from around the country. There’s Nizami Murgh biryani, macchi biryani, and vegetable Mumbai biryani – each bringing its own authentic flavours and traditional sides. You can cool down your palate at the end of the night with an Indian dessert or seasonal fruit. The experience begins at 7pm.

#HappyWorldTomatiniDay
There’s one place in Dubai that usually comes to mind when one says ‘Tomatini’ – LPM. On November 12, LPM is celebrating its first-ever World Tomatini Day, a day dedicated to the unique, tomato-based drink that reflects the vibrant spirit of the French Riviera. On the day, you will receive a complimentary Tomatini or TomatiNO upon arrival, and during the entire week, the business lunch menu will highlight the beloved tomato with signature dishes, while the afternoon Cinq à Sept will feature a curated Tomatini cocktail selection. For more sips, guest bartenders from local bars will join in the celebrations, bringing together the bar community in honor of the Tomatini.

Sunset cheers
When sunset paints the sky a beautiful golden hue, you and your loved ones can raise handcrafted cocktails and say cheers over Mediterranean tapas at SAL’s new sunset lounge. There’s aromatic shisha, too. You can visit any day of the week from 5pm, but on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday there’s live entertainment. Keep the little ones at home because there’s an age restriction of 21 and above.
