After a hot long weekend, it’s now time to get your jackets out folks, as the weather for the next few days will be mild and blustery.

Dubai residents woke up to a windy and cloudy city this morning, with patchy rain in parts (perfect weather for surfers).

Cloud cover is expected to increase across the UAE throughout the rest of the day, and rain has already hit Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. The lowest recorded temperature so far today was 9.7 degrees Celsius at 6.15am on Jebal Jais, Ras Al Khaimah.

A marine warning is in place for the Arabian Gulf, with 10 foot high waves expected in parts.

The temperature in Dubai will fluctuate between 18 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees.

The UAE meteorological service reported that “the amount of clouds will increase in some areas” today, “especially in the northern areas and islands”. They say this will lead to “a drop in temperatures”. They also warned of “very rough” conditions in the sea, and “blowing sand/dust and reduced horizontal visibility in some parts”.

Here are some of our favourite shots of the moody weather today:
