Sponsored content: Well this should be fun.

Have you been to Club Vista Mare yet? It’s the strip of licensed restaurants on the Palm Jumeirah that sit right next to a beautiful white sand beach. Here’s the view:

How’s the serenity? Club Vista Mare is a top sundowner spot now the weather’s cooling down...

The good news is that this Wednesday 18 and next Wednesday 25 there is a free Brazilian-style carnival from 8pm onwards – called Tropical Wednesdays, it means fire jugglers, dancers, acrobats and dancing (lots of dancing).

The party kicks off at 8pm, and the best way to get involved is to book a table at one of the seven licensed waterfront restaurants in Club Vista Mare…

You could try brew bar Tap House (which has a happy hour from 4pm to 7pm if you want to get there for sundowners), or you could hit up chic Peruvian-Japanese restaurant and bar Aji, which has Gent’s Night every Wednesday from 8pm to midnight (this means two free drinks and 20% off the menu for all lads).

We also love Ethiopian restaurant Gursha (try the shareable Taste of Ethiopian platter), and Breeze Beach Grill which is putting on two-for-one cocktails on the nights of the carnival – they’ve also got a special tropical platter for Dhs60 too.

Meanwhile, the lovely Italian restaurant Simply Italian has a filling three-course meal for Dhs149 on Wednesday nights; Lebanese seafood spot Ibn Al Bahr serves delicious fresh fish by the kilo and Lebanese soul food restaurant Abyat has a happy hour (Sunday to Thursday) from 6pm to 8pm.

Basically, there’s a dining option for everyone – so if you fancy sampling a sea breeze, Brazilian tunes and seeing lots of colour this Wednesday or next, this is the place to be (and guys, don’t forget about the free drinks at Gents’ Night at Aji).

Here’s a video to give you an idea of what to expect…

Dancing along is optional, but definitely encouraged.
