The clip was shared to Sheikh Hamdan’s followers and has over half a million views…

It takes a brave bird to nestle itself on the head of not one, but two of Dubai’s rulers and live to tell the tale.

But that’s exactly what happened in the below video which shows HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, having a rather charming interaction with one of the UAE’s feathered residents.

The 38 second clip shows the bird first swooping down onto the head of the Crown Prince. It’s unable to settle, however, ultimately deciding to upgrade its situation by jumping over to the head of HH Sheikh Mohammed and nestling itself into the Dubai ruler’s keffiyeh. A good choice, if you ask us.

It then appears that Sheikh Mohammed manages to convince the bird to fly back back over to Sheikh Hamdan by sheer force of will alone. We even made this GIF to prove it:

Naturally, the video has since exploded on social media, netting more than half a million views across Sheikh Hamdan’s Instagram and Twitter accounts.

The reaction from residents has be overwhelmingly positive, with many of them commenting on just how adorable the whole encounter was.

Dubai’s royal family are no strangers to animal interactions, well-known for championing the conservation of species indigenous to the UAE, but we have to admit that this latest meet cute has to be the most charming one yet.
