It’s been a year since Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai opened, and in that time it has established itself as a foodie hotspot. With a line-up that includes not one, but two celebrity chefs – American “Gypsy Chef” David Myers and Japanese “Iron Chef” Masaharu Morimoto – this is a hotel with some serious star power.

But what we love about Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai is that you’re made to feel equally welcome whether you’re popping in for after-work drinks with friends, or sitting down for a full-blown meal.

With the return of the cooler weather and the festive season fast approaching, here is your guide to the best hotspots for an after-work session at Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai.

Zodiac Hour at Morimoto Dubai: Daily 6pm to 8pm

We’re big fans of Morimoto Dubai here at What’s On – so much so that we crowned it Newcomer of the Year at our 2018 What’s On Awards. And we think you’ll love it too, especially with deals like their daily Zodiac Hour, where you can enjoy two drinks and one signature Morimoto bite for Dhs89. The deal is served with a side of Burj Khalifa views from its rooftop terraces on the 23rd and 24th floors.

Uncork at Bleu Blanc: Wednesdays 6pm to 10pm

If you haven’t checked out this gorgeous French farmhouse-inspired restaurant by celebrity chef David Myers yet, Wednesdays provide the perfect opportunity to do so. For Dhs195 per person, you’ll get two hours of free-flow, accompanied by a selection of light bites. The best part? You can show up anytime between 6pm and 10pm – your two hours start from when you say “go”.

Sunset Hour at BHAR: Daily 5pm to 8pm

BHAR’s stunning outdoor terrace overlooks the Dubai Water Canal and Business Bay skyline, so it’s the perfect place for sundowners. Every day between 5pm and 8pm, the modern Middle Eastern restaurant offers selected beverages for half price, as well as a variety of shisha flavours.

Aperitivo at BASTA!: Daily 5pm to 7pm

The second of David Myers’ restaurants, stylish Italian eatery BASTA!, offers two drinks and one tasty antipasti for just Dhs68, every evening from 5pm to 7pm. Surrounded by greenery, and with comfy lounge seating and views of the Dubai Water Canal, it’s the perfect setting for a post-work catch-up.
