We’re spoiled for choice when it comes to dining out in Dubai – from celebrity chef-led restaurants to indie gems, there are new openings every week. So, if you’re looking for somewhere fresh to book a table this weekend, these are our top picks.

The brand new: London Slide

Described as The London Projects cheeky teenager, London Slide is a funky new eatery on Bluewaters serving up an array of bao’s and sliders. Found next door to The London Project, you’ll find quirky slider options such as the ‘Big Ben’ – Angus pattie, Cheddar cheese, pickle, lettuce, red onion, tomato and mustard ‘Southern Smoke’, which combines fried Chicken, slaw, smoked cheese, jalapeno, pickles and chipotle Aioli and ‘Covent Garden’ – a feast of vegetable rosti, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato, fused with chipotle and tzatziki sauces. It’s all washed down with fully-loaded shakes and homemade lemonades.

The new menu: Bleu Blanc

French farmhouse-inspired restaurant, Bleu Blanc by David Myers at Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai has revamped its a la carte menu to include some brand new dishes this February. Additions include the lamb loin, Wagyu cheeseburger, bouillabaisse and sea bass just to name a few. The grill selection features premium cuts of meat, fresh seafood and seasonal vegetables, all prepared in front of guests, encouraging them to partake in a family style sharing concept.

An intimate experience: Lima

Lima is the Peruvian restaurant in City Walk by the world’s 6th best chef, Virgilio Martinez, and it’s just introduced an immersive ceviche experience. Available for a maximum of four diners at a time, guests can choose a four or seven course menu that celebrates Peru’s national dish, the ceviche. Seated at the ‘El Puerto’ (the port) ceviche bar, guests can witness LIMA’s skilled chefs as they carefully create each intricate course. Highlights from the menu include Salmon Belly Tartare – salmon combined with yellow potato causa, Rocoto chili and horse radish, Razor Clam Ceviche – Razor clams, yellow chili sauce and Padano cheese and the Duck Ceviche – Duck leg confit, Cured duck breast with Nikkei sauce and decedent foie gras.
