Get ready to rumble with WWE's Seth Rollins in Abu Dhabi
What’s On previews WWE Live in Abu Dhabi at Zayed Sports City, featuring John Cena. We also have a Seth Rollins interview and tickets to win.
After a two-year hiatus, WWE returns to Abu Dhabi. Some of wrestling’s biggest stars such as John Cena, Seth Rollins, Luke Harper, Alexander Rusev and Dolph Ziggler will grapple at Zayed Sports City. The show ends on February 14 – perfect for people looking to avoid Valentine’s Day, or if you’re a romantic with a weird sense of humour. Top wrestler (and mummy’s boy) Seth Rollins dishes out some fighting talk.
You have really long hair. Isn’t that just begging your opponents to pull it? It would be funny to see someone try. If anyone tried to pull my hair, I’d pretty much knock their teeth out.
Tell us about your pre-match rituals. Do you get up to anything strange before you go in the ring? I don’t do anything crazy really. I get warm and loose, throw on my headphones and listen to thrash metal to get me pumped.
Your signature move – the curb stomp – looks horrible. How do you decide when to unleash it? If someone’s pathetically kneeling on the floor with their face down, I tend to smash my foot hard on their jaw.
Right. Who’s your biggest nemesis? No one likes me. Everyone hates me. I don’t have any friends in WWE.
That’s so sad, Seth. When was the last time you cried? I cried last week actually. I was watching a documentary on American TV about a kid who was being bullied for the way he dressed. A bunch of other kids dressed like him to help him feel included. That stuff warms my heart.
What does your mum think of you getting in the wrestling ring? Does she worry about you getting hurt? She’s super supportive and loves what I do. She’s able to separate the person she sees on TV with the boy who comes over for dinner.
If you could get one celebrity in the ring for five minutes, who would you choose? Get that Kanye West in the ring. I’d love to punch that man just so he would shut up.
Ok, we’ll try and arrange that. Give us your final thoughts on your opponents in Abu Dhabi – is there anyone that you are nervous to fight? No, it really doesn’t matter who I’m in the ring with, because I’m pretty confident I can destroy everyone.
