What’s On has news about another Star Wars Trailer, this time from Japan, and what the new footage means for the film, out on December 18.

Just when you thought you’d have to wait until December 18 for any more hints as to what will be happening in the upcoming Star Wars film, another trailer has been released in Japan – with even more new footage.

Released on Friday, the brand new trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens has predictably exploded on the internet and shows off even more scenes of Abu Dhabi:

The first 30-plus seconds of the new two-minute trailer show off the Liwa desert as the desolate, sandy planet of Jakku and again sees Rey (Daisy Ridley) in the opening sequence.

The new scenes include a snippet of Rey and Finn (John Boyega) introducing themselves and also reveals that Rey, too, will come face-to-face with baddie Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and his three-pronged light saber.

While there is still no sign of Luke Skywalker, there are more shots of the roving droid BB-8, a cameo of C-3PO, as well as some flame-shooting Stormtroopers.

For die-hard fans impatient to investigate what the added scenes mean, the internet is rife with speculation over the distressing image of Rey crying over a huddled shape (a dead body, perhaps) and who it could be.

Finn, Hans Solo and even Chewbacca have all been named as possible victims.

One thing is clear, both Rey and fans of the franchise certainly “know all about waiting.”
