Dubai's first licensed cinema is now open

Get excited, movie fans. The first licensed, dine-in cinema in the Middle East is now open.
A collaboration between Reel Cinemas and American celebrity chef Guy Fieri, the licensed, dine-in cinema has just open in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Recreation Club.
The 180-seater dine-in cinema experience is split across four Reel Cinema screens, and complimented by a 100-seater restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. A fully licensed bar also services the restaurant and cinema.
As well as serving up breakfast, brunch and some pretty Insta-worthy burgers in Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar, you can also tuck into Fieri’s food (and a drink) while watching the latest releases on the big screen.
Currently, the cinema is showing blockbusters including Tomb Raider, Red Sparrow and Hurricane Heist.
So, what can we expect on the menu?
This is a first for Fieri, who already has more than 50 restaurants in the US. “While I haven’t worked specifically inside a movie theatre setting before, I know how to give guests a real-deal food experience,” explains the restauranteur.
“My restaurants are all about big-time flavours in a fun and exciting environment. Great hospitality, good music, an all-around good time,” says the celebrity chef.
The dine-in menu features dishes such as the fully-loaded trash can nachos, complete with smoked brisket, brown sugar BBQ sauce and SMC (that’s super melty cheese), alongside Fieri’s signature big bites which include a bacon mac ‘n’ cheese burger, crispy chicken ranch sandwich and a southwest lobster roll.
A two-course dine-in experience with movie ticket is priced at Dhs160. Desserts are an extra charge, while beverages will be priced individually. On the restaurant menu, starters are priced from Dhs30, mains from Dhs65 and desserts from Dhs45.
