As DIFC’s foodie revival continues, a brand new restaurant is set to open its doors among the impressive existing array, this time bringing high-end Asian dishes to Dubai’s financial centre.

Called Shanghai Me, the upscale Asian restaurant is inspired by the glamour of 1930s Shanghai, and will open its doors in The Exchange building this October.

Shanghai Me will be split between a luxurious bar and lounge, bamboo-lined terrace, restaurant and private dining area with plush, rich-hued interiors and art-deco detailing that pay tribute to Asian traditions.

The homegrown restaurant will open for lunch and dinner, with the bar serving as a new late-night hotspot for the DIFC crowd.

On the menu, guests can expect a blend of flavours from across East Asia, with a mix of lighter plates and more indulgent dishes designed to suit every taste.

Created by Bulldozer Group, the restaurant adds to their impressive existing portfolio of restaurants that includes Gaia, Cipriani and Scalini.

Evgeny Kuzin, co-founder and managing partner of Bulldozer Group said, “We have taken our time to explore each and every element of the concept, in order to create a playful, energetic environment that highlights the strength of Dubai’s culinary landscape and can be exported around the world.”

Shanghai Me is one of a number of soon-to-open restaurant concepts in DIFC, joining the already announced Indochine, a famed New York restaurant that serves Vietnamese cuisine, Amazonico, which hails from Madrid, and the latest venture from chef Nusr-et Gocke, Salt Bae Burger.
