Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival has announced the first headline act for the 18th edition of the award-winning festival will be legendary singer Lauryn Hill. The American singer-songwriter will perform at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Wednesday February 26.

The former Fugees band-member launched her solo career in 1997, and still remains a prevalent voice in the R&B genre. Fans can expect to hear all of her biggest hits, including Killing Me Softly with His Song, Doo-Wop (That Thing) and Everything is Everything when she takes the stage next year.

The 2019 Jazz Festival saw superstar acts including 15-time Grammy Award-winning artist Alicia Keys, iconic funk band Jamiroquai and legendary rock band Snow Patrol all perform at the incredible festival.

Lauryn Hill will be supported by British singer Bruno Major, who is best known for hits such as Easily and Old Fashioned. The remaining acts of the three-day festival are expected to be announced later in the week.
