If you’re into art and electro music, bookmark Thursday November 21 in your diary as there’s an event at the Louvre Abu Dhabi that you’re definitely going to want to be at.
Combining the worlds of art and music, the iconic museum will be hosting their first ever electro night, with international DJs performing amongst cubism-inspired artwork projected onto the dome at the famous museum.
Taking place from 10pm to 2am, tickets are priced at Dhs150 and are available from louvreabudhabi.ae.
The DJs lined up to take to the decks at the party under the iconic domed roof will include Molécule, Amon Tobin Two-Fingers DJ Set, UAE-based DJ’s Hassan Alwan and Tristan Girault from Boogie Box.
The electro night comes as part of the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s celebration of cubist artworks in their Rendezvous In Paris exhibition, taking place from September 18 right through to December 7.
On the night of Thursday November 21, the specially-created visuals will be projected onto the domed roof, which will be inspired by artists from that era, with names including Picasso, Chagall, Modigliani and others all given a nod.
Paris was considered the place to be for emerging creatives during the roaring twenties, attracting artists from all over Europe. Throughout the rest of the exhibition over 80 artworks will be presented at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, including paintings, sculptures and autographs from over 40 big names from that time period.
Louvre Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, 10pm to 2am, Thursday November 21. Tel: (600) 565566. louvreabudhabi.ae
