What a line up!

There’s a new addition to the line up for our very own music fest’, What’s On Party in the Park: British neo-psychedelic band Temples will fly over for the fest’ (thanks to the lovely folk at Fred Perry, who are bringing the band over here for our listening pleasure).

They will join Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher (who is currently number one on the UK top 40 albums chart with As You Were – mabrook!) and UK electronica legends The Chemical Brothers, who will perform a very special DJ set that will span the length and breadth of their illustrious career. Other regional acts will also take to the stage at the day-t0-night event, which also features markets, food trucks, brunch, bars and more.

Party in the Park. Friday November 10. Dubai Media City Ampitheatre. Be there! (You can buy tickets here).

WHY YOU SHOULD BE EXCITED ABOUT SEEING TEMPLES…

Well, first off, they have a Gallagher fan: Liam’s brother Noel Gallagher criticised British radio stations like Radio 1 for not giving the band enough air time.

“There are great records coming out this year you’re not going to hear on the radio. Temples. Jagwar Ma. Great stuff, but it’s on a lower level. It’s not on the battleground. You have to be in that world to hear it,” he told GQ.

The four-piece from Northamptonshire are selling out venues in the UK thanks to their soaring, danceable, dreamy compositions – we’re particular fans of this trippy track:

NME gave the Temples’ 2017 album release Volcano a 4/5, championing them as “supremely gifted melodists and assiduous students of the past.”

The band was formed in 2012, and their second single, 2013’s Colours to Life, has been viewed more than 2.4 million times on YouTube:

With Liam Gallagher, the Chemical Brothers and the Temples all lined up, Party in the Park is shaping up to be a cracker (if we say so ourselves).
