Sunset Festival is returning to Barasti Beach for a three day, day-to-night beach festival next month…

A three-day mega beach festival is returning to Barasti Beach next month.

Taking place from Thursday October, 25 to Saturday October, 27 the free entry Sunset Festival will see two top house DJs fly in to perform. Show Me Love hitmaker Sam Feldt will headline on Thursday night, while on Friday, Nicky Romero will take up deck duty.

While guests can expect a more chilled-out vibe of acoustic sets, art and an open BBQ will be on offer in the day, once the sun goes down, expect an upbeat party on the Marina shores as the international artists take to the decks.

A first for the festival this year will be a focus on sustainability. As well as a sustainable pop-up bar focusing on serving zero waste cocktails, there will be short workshops for a glimpse of how a zero-waste bar can run and live demonstrations from eco-warrior Ryan Ingram on the zero-waste trend.

Ryan will be joined by cocktail designer and zero waste advocate, Angus McGregor to form the Clean Waves Collective in their debut at Sunsets Festival, where they will be guiding festival-goers on how to create eco-friendly drinks from the recipe to the vessel they’re served in.

Continuing on the sustainability theme, Barasti will also house an organic, open-air gallery by using bamboo to create jaw dropping structures made entirely out of sustainable materials. While you’re there, pop over to the eco-friendly boy art and glitter painting stations to get your glam on, or upcycle your wadrobe at OHOY SWIM, who make their pieces from recycled fishing nets and other plastics collected from the ocean.

We’ll see you by the beach.
