Metro line between Ibn Battuta and DMCC reopens
This is great news for anyone living around Ibn Battuta…
After over a year of construction, the Dubai Metro line between Ibn Battuta and DMCC (formerly known as Jumeirah Lakes Towers Metro Station) has now reopened for commuters.
The section of the Red Line closed on January 5, 2018 as part of of Route 2020 construction, which encompassed constructing a new metro station and linking it with the existing Nakheel Harbour and Tower station, which will then link directly to the Expo 2020 site.
“RTA makes every effort to ensure the smooth running of public transit services constantly and seamlessly. RTA always endeavours to expanding and upgrading Dubai public transport network, including the Metro, which has become the ideal daily mobility option for numerous residents, tourists and visitors to the Emirate from all over the world.” said Mohammed Yousef Al Mudharreb, Director of Rail Operations at RTA’s Rail Agency.
