What’s On and Hype launch a series looking at clubbing in Dubai, profiling nights like Superheroes and others on the underground club scene in Dubai.

Ten of the best underground clubs in Dubai will come together for the Hype Clubhouse at Party In The Park, on Friday, November 14. In the run up to this historic event, each day we’ll shine the spotlight on the clubs involved and the music they so passionately promote.

Introducing SUPERHEROES…

Promoter: Sean Rutherford (Under The Moon).

Location: The Dek on 8, Media One Hotel, Dubai Media City.

Launched: 2013.

Frequency: Twice a month, on the second and last Thursday.

Music policy: Adventures through house, garage and bass music.

Biggest moment? A boxing ring full of breakdancers, inflatables, masked warriors, MCs and bass-heavy capers from UK festival faves, The Dance-Off Crew. Pure vibes.

What sets it apart? Superheroes’ aim is to bring the fun and antics back into clubbing, with a slamming soundtrack of house, garage and bass music combined.

Tell us about your residents: Under The Moon & Kasparov. The Bristol boys bring the bass! These two have known each other for many years. Both hailing from Bristol, they’ve been playing on the same line-ups for nearly a decade, be it clubs, festivals or raves throughout the southwest and the rest of the UK.  Together they can span the genres, taking you on a romp to remember.
