Acrobats, DJs, light-shows, lasers, fireworks - get ready for Sensation
Global dance party phenomenon ‘Sensation’ will hold it’s first outdoor party right here in Dubai on October 31.
The event, which has held 100 events across more than 30 countries and attracted an audience of over two million, will take over Meydan Racecourse later this year for their spectacular ‘Source of Light’ show.
Turning the iconic sporting venue into a ‘white oasis’ for 15,000 lucky revelers, a line-up of top international DJs will lead the way as ‘visitors go on a magical journey, with the combination of spectacular sets, dazzling acts and performers and special effects guaranteeing them a true night to remember.’ Previous installments have seen the use of acrobats, actors, state-of-the-art light-shows, lasers and fireworks.
“An outdoor edition has always been a dream of ours,” founder Duncan Stutterheim said of the move. “But it is a huge challenge in terms of production. After 14 years of indoor successes with Sensation, it is a fantastic experience organizing the very first outdoor edition against the backdrop of Dubai. This festival will really take Sensation to the next level.”

Offering a night of the very best dance music against a backdrop of the bright lights of the city, it’s time to take the globe’s leading dance event to a whole new level as it arrives in the world’s go-to events destination.”
As with every other edition of Sensation, the dress code for the Dubai event will be all white, which those in attendance at least 21 years old.
Sensation started in 2000 with a one-off event in the Netherlands’ Amsterdam ArenA, attended by 20,000 people. A year later audience figures doubled, and it has gone on to win awards for ‘best event of the year’ in countries including Holland, Germany, Australia, Brazil and Denmark.
