The opening of the Dubai Motor Show has just gone full throttle on celebrity attendees with the announcement that Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel and this season’s standout debutant, Daniel Ricciardo will be at the opening on November 19 from 4.30pm at Skydive Dubai.
The racing superstars are in town to present the Infiniti F1 Showrun where spectators will get the chance to check out a 560-horsepower Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge as well as the RB7 race car with two of the world’s best drivers behind the wheels.
The Infiniti F1 Showrun is set to begin when the RB7 fires up and the drivers’ parade begins. For the next hour, petrol-heads will be treated to a gala display of raw horsepower, driver skill and the opportunity to get up close to some of the biggest stars in Formula One.
This news comes two weeks after an earlier Motor Show announcement which revealed that some of the planet’s most luxurious vehicles are set to ferry enthusiasts from high footfall areas such as Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, and the airports directly to the event. During the weekends between November 21 and 22, 28 and 29, and December 5 and 6, the Motor Show will be rolling out a fleet of supercars to help get people around. Cars valued in excess of Dhs1m, including a Ferrari 458, Bentley Continental GT, Rolls Royce Ghost and Lamborghini Gallardo, are among those being used, as is a stretch Mercedes G Class.
Next up on the Dubai Motor Show agenda is set to take place at Meydan Racecourse on November 28 where the stadium will be transformed into a Motor Village, with a plethora of motoring entertainment and activities. These will include the return of the Red Bull Car Park Drift finals, where spectators will be able to witness some racers competing for the “King of Drift” crown. Attendees will also be able to experience F1 simulators, learn about motoring safety and get up close with some of the most exclusive motoring brands.
