After a roadblock first few months since launch, Pacha Ibiza Dubai is venturing into a new kind of party, for those who don’t need darkness to hide their dance moves. But anyone hoping for a brunch will be disappointed.
Known as ‘White Day Party’, the new monthly event on the terrace will begin on Friday January 16 with a strict ivory dress code. The theme will be mimicked in the decor, with organised promising to transform the rooftop into a white wonderland.
It’s a side step from the main concept of the Souk Madinat venue, that of ‘dinner and show’, where guests pay a premium to tuck in to meticulously prepared sharing plates while being entertained by some seriously talented dancers and acrobats. When What’s On were first to check out what was on offer over the opening weekend in November, we discovered that guests can and will be rather distracted from your meal ‘by the spectacle – from glamorous Great Gatsby-esque couples heating up the stage, to funky shape-throwers clad in retro-gear dancing to old school tunes like Kiss by Prince. And then there are the gravity defying feats, with dancers performing jaw-dropping tricks while suspended from the ceiling by little more than ribbons and hoops’. It definitely not your average dinner.
Quite away from that, their new event kicks off at 2pm, is an extension of the post-midnight happenings on your average party night, where music is the focus. Hungry revellers will be able to tuck into a selection of nibbles and light bites, but for the most part they want eyes front to the DJ box where they’ll find Marc Mashall, violinst Nico and resident DJ Rico.
The real party animals able to keep going long into the night: from 10pm DJ Zepherin Saint takes over the alfresco decks while resident DJ Sebastian Gamboa takes his spot inside the Main Room.
Pricing is as standard, with a minimum spend on tables and free entry.
