Police release new video showing operations at Address Dubai fire
From royals running operations to exhausted firefighters being treated on the side of the road, this just-been-released video shows how intense the operations were when a fire ripped through the Address Downtown Dubai on Thursday night.
The Dubai Police have just released a new video that gives us a further glimpse into the rescue and firefighting efforts that took place on New Year’s Eve when a fire took hold of the five-star Address Downtown Dubai.
The video shows the police in their normal work on the night, ensuring smooth crowd flow, but then switches a gear when the fire begins.
It shows people being escorted out of the hotel, firefighting operations in the lobby, crisis meetings and more.
From around the 40 second mark you can see just how involved His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was in the Dubai fire operation:

An investigation is now underway as to what caused the fire that spread across the building in a matter of minutes, although it’s believed to have begun at around the 20th floor of the hotel.
16 people were injured during the fire, they were all treated on site and then transported to hospitals.
Emaar, who own the 63-storey luxury hotel and residential tower, have said they will restore the building, but have yet to release exact details on what they’ll do and how long it will take.
