Sharjah to get a brand new 3.3km beachfront destination
And it looks amazing…
While we might already be spoiled for choice when it comes to beachfront locations in Dubai, there’s a new beachfront destination coming to Sharjah that looks like it will be well worth a road trip.
The exciting new project, unveiled by the Sharjah Urban Planning Council over the weekend, outlines plans to create a 3.3km space complete with food trucks, art spaces, public squares, changing rooms, prayer ares and landscaped gardens.

HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah approved the plans, but a timeline for its completion has not yet been given.
The new outdoor paradise will span from Sharjah Ladies Club to the Ajman border, and also come with parking for 1,100 vehicles.
It’s part of a larger scale plan to encourage more tourism in Sharjah. According to Gulf Business, Shaikh Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, chairman of SUPC, said: “We are working in cooperation with other government departments involved in the project to play our pivotal role and further improve the standard of living Sharjah.”
There’s also a healthy living focus to the project, with dedicated fitness areas, bicycle tracks and water sports all part of the plan for the new Sharjah beach destination.
