Abu Dhabi is looking for your bright ideas to help improve the city
A Dragon’s Den-style session will be held every Tuesday in the capital…
Do you have a bright idea that could make life easier for your fellow residents? Well, the Abu Dhabi Municipality wants to hear about it.
According to a report by The National, the governing body will be holding weekly sessions where clever residents can pitch their ideas in the hopes of having them adopted by the city. Think of it like the UK TV show Dragon’s Den, only instead of entrepreneurs trying to impress rich business people for profit, you could be doing something that actually improves the lives of people living in the capital.
Dubbed ‘Innovation Tuesdays’, the event will be held between 11am to 2pm at the Abu Dhabi Municipality HQ on Salam Street every Tuesday.

The judging panel is made up of members the municipality’s Innovation Team and they will be on the lookout for any or all following parameters if an idea is to be adopted: innovation; livability; smart cities; next-generation technology; connectivity; sustainability; self-funding or creative funding; safety and security; knowledge sharing; and aesthetics.
If you’re interested in taking part, send an email to c.sana.bagersh@adm.abudhabi.ae with details of your idea, how it can help improve Abu Dhabi and what you would need to make it happen.
Who knows, soon enough your bright ideas could become reality.
