Summer is always a good time to learn a new skill, all that time cooped up inside avoiding the heat – it’s the prime opportunity to pick up a new hobby.

So, how about doing exactly the opposite of what you would do outside and get ice skating? Dubai Ice Rink is offering summer lessons and we couldn’t wait to get going.

Until September 8, Dubai Ice Rink at Dubai Mall is hosting a ‘Learn to Skate Academy’ which is open to everyone over the age of 3.

The classes are designed for all levels – even a level as low as us – and coaches are on hand to guide students through basic skating skills all the way up to receiving the International Skating Institution Asia certificate. Get one of those and surely the Winter Olympics is your next port of call.
