Uber Eats now charges a delivery fee based on restaurant distance
Delivery fees range from Dhs4 to Dhs10…
Food delivery apps are something most UAE residents are familiar with. Whether it accompanies a night in with Netflix, a weekend of binge-watching your favourite series or that al-desko lunch, food delivery Apps are a friend we all turn to when wanting cuisine from all over the world at our fingertips – and fast.
But if you’re a loyal Uber Eats user, you might have noticed something a little different about your App.
App users were notified on Tuesday September 10 that Uber Eats now charges delivery fees based on the distance between your location and the restaurant, rather than the previous Dhs5 flat delivery fee.

Delivery fees now range from Dhs4 to Dhs10, with a new option in the App to toggle your delivery fee to Dhs4, Dhs8, Dhs10 or Dhs10+. Although on a quick glance through the Uber Eats App, we couldn’t see any restaurants charging more than Dhs10.
On Uber Eats, you can order from hundreds of restaurants with the touch of a button, from healthy options to more indulgent treats, and international cuisines ranging from French and Italian to Arabic.
