These brunches and bar deals are the best way to watch the Meydan races
The lead-up to the Dubai World Cup has begun…
The horseracing season is gearing up in Dubai, but things look a little different this season. As crowds aren’t permitted trackside, the best way to catch all the racing action is by hightailing it to the Meydan Hotel.
This contemporary hotel has come up with a range of cracking dining and staycation deals to capitalise on its prime trackside position.
On Thursday nights, take your pick of two dining packages, each with views of the Meydan racetrack. The 90s Forever Evening Brunch at Farriers is a fun-filled retro throwback, playing all your favourite hits from the 90s.
The menu features American-style dishes such as a slow-cooked brisket and Texas sandwiches, which pair nicely with the themed cocktails. The brunch runs from 7pm to 11pm, and costs Dhs149 with soft drinks, or Dhs299 with house drinks.
If you’d rather watch the races from the comfort of the Millennium Lounge, book the Ride in Style package on Thursday and Saturday nights. You’ll enjoy unrivaled views of the Meydan racecourse as you enjoy your choice of main courses plus two selected drinks, for Dhs150 per person.
To showcase the Meydan races on Saturdays, Farriers will be hosting a barbecue night, with a selection of mezzes, salads, and meat and seafood straight off the grill – all with a side of prime racecourse views. The Saturday night barbecue is priced at Dhs190 with soft drinks or Dhs290 with house drinks, and runs from 7pm to 11pm.
Want to make a weekend of it? Book one of the Meydan hotel’s staycation packages, starting at Dhs599. There’s a golfing deal; a dining option including the 90s Forever Evening Brunch if you check in on Thursday; or a family-friendly stay including two tickets to IMG World.
