That’s right, this June, What’s On turns 45. And while many things have changed since our first issue came out in 1979: entire islands built, a population increase ten fold, a vast desert transformed into a thriving multicultural metropolis – our passion to bring you the very best of the emirates has never wavered.

But we thought we’d do something extra special as we celebrate a landmark birthday. Because without you, our loyal readers, we wouldn’t be here, 45 years and 555 issues later. So to celebrate 45 years of What’s On, we introduce 45 days of epic giveaways.

From June 1 until July 15, every day we’ll be bringing you a new opportunity to snap up an epic prize.
