Expect a host of new obstacles and a new location for the Desert Warrior Challenge in 2019…

Adrenaline junkies get ready, the original Dubai obstacle course, Desert Warrior Challenge, is back but at a brand new location: Al Marmoon AKA Al Qudra Lakes.

On January 11, 2019, you can join the warrior movement and take on one of the three courses designed to push you beyond your limits.

Ultimate Warriors will take on 20+ obstacles over 10km, while Fearless Warriors will be smashing through 12+ obstacles over 5km. Children aged six and over will also get the chance to take part in a 1-2km Junior Warrior course, with eight obstacles to conquer.

The obstacles

The Beast. The ¼ pipe. The Warped Wall. Not exactly phrases that conjure up a relaxing weekend. These are the names of just a few of the obstacles that you can expect to encounter at this year’s Desert Warrior Challenge. We’ve also been promised several new obstacles too, including the 4 Way, a combination of climbing, crawling, hanging and swinging. Bring it on.

‘Every time we design the next course our aim is to challenge our Warriors, at the same time as creating a real sense of victory and accomplishment for them as they complete something so far removed from the usual trials and tribulations that they face day-to-day. We keep throwing new twists and turns at our Warriors and each time they knock it out of the park so we can’t wait to see them take on our latest obstacles,’ says Managing Director of Warrior Events Troy Gilham.

The distances

1-2K Junior Warrior (Ages 6-9 and/or 10 – 15) 8+ obstacles
5K Fearless Warrior (16+ / Open) 12+ obstacles
10K Ultimate Warrior (16+ / Open) 20+ obstacles (the main event)

This year also include options for VIP parking, express check-in and personalised videos.
