Watch out for this road closure in Abu Dhabi
Drive safely in the capital…
A major portion of Abu Dhabi’s Hazza bin Sultan Street in Al Ain will remain closed for a period of 6 months ending on Thursday, July 17, it has been reported by Abu Dhabi Mobility (formerly the Integrated Transport Centre, or ITC), and the closure has been in effect since this past weekend. Vehicles will be diverted onto an alternate route as a result.
You’ll need to keep an eye out for the road closure and be extra careful while maintaining safe distances. The route has been highlighted in an image uploaded by Abu Dhabi Mobility, as below:

The roads highlighted in red will be affected by the closure, with alternate routes coloured blue. The map also shows the surrounding areas being affected by road work.
With typical January temperatures and foggy skies reducing visibility in many parts of Abu Dhabi, motorists in the capital are advised to exercise additional caution and adhere to speed limits in all areas.
