Aladdin
The highly anticipated remake of Disney’s much-loved 1992 animated classic Aladdin is releasing this week! It follows the story of Aladdin, who spends most of his life living on the streets. He meets power-hungry Grand Vizier who convinces him to help steal a magic lamp that has the powers to make their deepest wishes come true.

Discarnate
Are you the type to look under your bed before you go to sleep at night? Then this movie probably isn’t for you. The word ‘Discarnate’ itself means a person (or being) without a physical body. The movie follows the story of a neuroscientist’s obsession with a serum that expands the human mind, which inadvertently unleashes a shapeshifting supernatural force (aka creepy boogeyman) that longs to be alive and lives by feasting on human flesh.

Damascus Cover
Based on the novel of the same name by Howard Kaplan, this spy thriller follows agent Ari Ben-Sion assignment from Mossad to smuggle a chemical-weapons scientist out of Syria. The mission soon goes wrong however, and Ben-Sion soon learns that he’s a pawn in a much bigger game.

Goodland
Goodland takes place in a small Kansas town – a remote farming community. Unfortunately, peace is set to be disturbed when the dead body of a drifter is discovered in a field. That same day, Mr. Reins, a photographer, arrives in town and the local sheriff is left to piece together a string of events that don’t quite add up. If you love a murder mystery, this one will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Between Maybes
This light-hearted love story follows the life of Louie Puyat, who has been living a solitary life in Saga, Japan but ends up meeting has-been actress Hazel Ilagan. They develop a functional relationship where Louie checks on Hazel during her vacation. Amidst the isolation, the two lost souls find comfort in each other.
