Alfred Basbous

ArtSpace is a gallery dedicated to modern and contemporary Middle Eastern artists and for the next few months it’s shining a light on Alfred Basbous. The show of the late sculptor’s work is split in two, with part one running for only two more days until November 10 and the second from November 23 until January. The Lebanese artist’s abstract pieces are all about imitating natural form through perfectly smooth lines and angles.

So through this collection of photos from his different series, spanning the last 15 years, Allenby-Pratt is exploring how radically Dubai’s desert landscape has changed in recent years.
