The king of the synth-orchestra is coming to the capital for a one-night show on Friday September 30.

Yiannis Chryssomallis, aka Yanni, is coming to Abu Dhabi to show off his brand new live show this September.

The composer has played on every continent in the world (with the exception of Antarctica) and has had 15 albums reach number one on Billboard’s New Age Albums chart.

Yanni’s latest album is called Sensuous Chill, and his new tunes will be brought to the stage in the capital by the man himself and his 15-member orchestra.

Here’s the aptly named Desert Soul from the new album:

“This album represents several years of collaboration with some of the brightest artists in the world,” says Yanni of his new album. “That is what brings the uniqueness the beauty and the colour on this album – I wanted to create a sensuous and melodious environment for the listener; and I wanted it to last a long time, the whole collection contains 17 songs, 10 of which have never been released before. Put it on repeat and enjoy!!!”

Here’s what you can expect from a Yanni live show:

Yanni is known for staging his rousing shows at monumental buildings, and in 2011 he played at the Burj Khalifa:
