With loads of participating brands including Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s, Home Centre and more…

Everyone loves a good bargain, but with the Dubai Shopping Festival more than a month away how is one expected to get their discount retail therapy on?

Easy – remember the massive three-day “super sale” that happened back in May? Well, it’s getting another go around next weekend, with savings of between 30 to 90 per cent at some of the city’s top stores.

From Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 November over 300 brands across 1,200 outlets will be offering choice discounts on jewellery, toys, homeware, fashion and more.

What brands are taking part, you ask? So far the likes of Bloomingdale’s, Galeries Lafayette, Harvey Nichols, Debenhams, ID Design, Home Centre, Max Mara, Reiss and Converse have been confirmed, with many more expected to be revealed in the coming week.

So how does this differ from DSF/DSS then?

These super sales set themselves apart from the traditional Dubai shopping carnivals by offering massive clearances of up to 90 per cent.

Earlier this year, Saeed Mohammad Measam Al Falasi, executive director of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, confirmed that the only times clearance sales will be allowed in Dubai are when a store is shutting down, during the National Day sales in December and, you guessed it, during these new three-day super sales.

That means that while the Dubai Shopping Festival and Summer Surprises will still have their fair share of sales, they won’t have nearly the level of crazy discounts that will be available next weekend.

So slip on a comfortable pair of walking shoes and start brandishing your credit cards, it’s liable to get hectic.
